Need some input on new site

I need all of ya'lls feed back on the looks and feel of this site here.

I generally like it but I'm not crazy about the logo - hard to read (I'd just change the font) - I also find the text hard to read, small, close together, not enough contrast but that's just me Did you spell projects wrong on purpose?

I do like the color scheme though, I'd just go a tad whiter with the text or a little larger.

I thought the sight was pretty good. The gallery loaded pretty slow so anyone on dialup is in trouble. If I ran across your site I really wouldn't know what it was all about other than groups traveling by car. Loved the smoke (fog) graphic. The "high gear life" logo needs more pop.

 

looks pretty nice thought i feel the header design on your tables let your overall graphics down

 

I dislike the bottom of it. The grey bar at the bottom really has to go...it doesn't blend well.

Also the info in the column to the right just keeps going, the layout doesn't...

Header takes up too much room on the site,

 

i quite like the site - especially the smoke effect the way it crosses over the standard square template is cool.

i have a few points to make that I hope will help
- it would be nice to have the tab change when you are on that page so if you are on the home page the home tab is 'on'
- i would agree with Yankee0306 about the gallery - you need to create thumbnails of your larger pics instead of just restricting the size. you could then use something like thickbox (do a google search) which would show the larger pic without having to leave the pagethen come back.
- lastly to stop yourself getting too much spam why don't you link the footer to the contact form instead of the email address.

The header coud be a bit smaller but the font is way to hard to read for me. I think the text needs to be easy to read, but something with a unique feel too.

Also, i'm not real crazy about how the top menu doesn't reach the bottom. There is just some dead space there, and it doesn't seem to be practical.

Last but not least, the header where "Welcome" is said is not aligned in the middle of the box. Shouldn't it be level with the left menu?

I am using IE FYI.

 

Try incorporating some pale yellow into your layout, it's a bit too monochromatic at the moment.

 

I really like the top left clouds/smoke/sun (or whatever you want to call it) effect. You may want to think about changing the logo font, as it is hard to read.

Only other thing I noticed is the area with the main content (where it says welcome) seems like it needs a bottom black line closing the box instead of running straight into the lighter grey footer. At first glance it looked like the content was going to continue.

 

I personally do not like the logo...but the site is designed very professionally and I hope you do have a success with this website!

 

I dont get this on my computer whether in in firefox or IE

 

Nice site layout, but change the color of the Nav tabs, Blue doesnt really go with the rest of the site. It kinda sticks out like a sore thumb. But other than that the site looks great A+

 

I thought the site looked good. Great actually. The only thing I'd do is add another colour perhaps. Just to break up the grey-ness of it. Other than that, it's a good looking site.

Well I do...in Opera.

Opera the 3rd widely used browser in the world...so I'd fix it. But thats all i'd change really.

The layout and stuff is pretty decent.
