    Hi there!
New to the forums here so I hope you all can help me out.

I am advertising a niche product on a single page for someone, and looking for some ideas to drive the specific type of traffic to it. Currently, the site is just under development, but it will remain a single page or two with the information on the product as well as some general content writing for keywords.
    The site is http://www.industrialdryersforsale.com

Thanks in advanced for the advice.

Optimize the page well with the meta title and description as well as well-placed keywords in the content. Get backlinks - some ways are article marketing, commenting on related forums, requesting links from related sites, etc.

We love the use of SEO press releases. If you have something that is worth value on the site. The press releases are a great and quick way to bump up traffic and sales. Good for the old search engine too.

Any tips on using press releases? I just added meta keywords on the header of the page and am getting a content writer on the actual machinery. I am looking for get this this rolling quick. I may even be willing to spend a little money on advertising. Should I just stick to Adwords?

Most marketers do market research before they build anything... those silly marketing people trying to figure out if there is a market before they waste their time.

Well this isnt a site to get traffic for content, its trying to specifically sell an item in the niche, I was hoping for higher page ranking in google so when someone types in "Airstream Dryer" I would appear in the 1st or 2nd page.

It's very hard to attain a good postion in the serps, so you'd better learn PPC and landing page optimization.

Have you tried posting it on craigslist? Look into commercial equipment listing sites if you are just trying to sell it. I'm sure there are many places you can post it for sale.

How many searches does "Airstream Dryer" get? What other keywords related to your product do searchers type in google? If you don't have a keyword list, go to a competitor's site, type their url into google's keyword tool, and see what keywords google recommends for your market.

Then create articles, blog posts, press releases, squidoo lenses, hubpages and videos using your keywords and all linking to each other and to your main site. Bookmark everything!

You'll dominate your market . . . and you'll be building your business assets for future sales as well.

Having a marketing startup, resources can definitely be gathered through research, participation to social networks and building more relationships because these people can actually make connections to your website for a whole lot of networks. Honestly, I have made this for a long time and gladly found much better resource when I got an email from a blogger, telling me good ways to outsource business.

That is also the reason why I would like to share this with everyone because internet marketing has been used worldwide and it's been more competitive to start more businesses unlike the older days. This friend showed me this website, www.massoutsource.com which shows how this young Australian guy shares the basics of outsourcing and how this can help businesses in an easy way. I hope this brings another helpful resource to everyone.

Well it seems most people on this thread haven't realized that you're only selling one item!

Google Adwords lets you pay for traffic to your site when they search for certain keywords online. Set up a campaign and add keywords such as "Airstream Dryer" with the speech marks. Google have videos on how to use Adwords here: http://www.google.com/adwords/learningcenter/

You may be waiting a long time before someone searches for that though so it's best to stick it in local advertising and industry magazines offline too and point to the good information and pictures on your site.

A great way to get traffic to your website would be to write a press release. There are many free and paid services if you do a search. You can also find free examples and tutorials on how to write a press release.

My recommendation on press releases is to find a twist on your topic. They don't want an article, they want a press release. They are different. One way I always do them is I essentially do an interview about a topic. For example, I sell purple martin houses, I may interview myself about the purple martin numbers on the decline or talk about migratory birds in general. I'll include suttle things about my website or research i've done. It is more of an interview though.

Secondly, if you're going to use Adwords, get a coupon/voucher from the BST section here on DP, you can usually get $100 for about $20. It will give you a little bit of extra money to test out the market and see how you can compete, etc. Good luck!
