Need some honest reviews on the SEO Book

I'm thinking about purchasing the SEO book but I need some feedback on how good the information is. They claim to have the best SEO information and add a new page to it everyday, but some companies say this just so that you'll buy their information.

Me personally didn't find it very informative. I like, for example, following 2 articles about SEO and I find them more valuable and they are free:
    On site SEO: http://www.seomoz.org/article/search-ranking-factors
Off site SEO (link building): http://www.seomoz.org/article/advanced-link-building
By my opinion if somebody works following this guidelines he has to become successful (of course, it depends how competitive keywords are chosen :D )
Maybe I should mention that I am talking just from SEO point of view. There is also lot of marketing guidelines in the book describing how to make a site which will make you more sales and that kind of stuff, but for now I am not focused on that, I am focused on how to climb up in Google rankings :D

Alot of people are saying that the SEO Book is a good product. Aaron Wall must know what he is talking about since his website ranks on the first page of google for the keyword "seo".

Would you spend time implementing ALL their suggestions? If not - don't even bother buying it. There's enough free info around to be getting on with.

Like the poster above said, most of the info in the book can be found freely on the Internet. But if you like to have the information compact, yes, the book is a good buy. I'm not sure how often Aaron updates it nowadays, but it used to be top-of-the-line a while back. Certainly a good buy if you're new to SEO, but don't expect any "magic tricks".

The SEOMoz and SitePoint articles are really good. You don't need any ebooks, the information is available for free, just search for it.

I think the SEO book is well worth the read. I've met Aaron Wall personally and he definitely knows what he's talking about. If you're looking for secrets on how to dominate poker, well book will tell you that and even if it did (which Aaron kinda does), its going to cost you lots of cash to implement. The SEO book is frequently updated but read many other SEO guides also to get a comprehensive outlook. Read blogs like SEO Moz etc and site point forums. Basic SEO doesnt change much but it develops and refines often.
