Need Some Help

I need some help with my new business plan. I want to set up a new website directory, let me guide you through what I intend to do.

Buy a PR3/PR4 Domain Name - Install PHP Link Directory. Sell links for $1 per submission.


Do you think people will buy submissions for $1?

 

they might buy them, but why should they buy on your site? there are so many directory out there. i would not try to build a business on it.
if you plan to start one, don't use the standard scripts. try to make is special, that can be done with drupal, for example.
find a new way of that idea and you might be successful.

specializing in a niche directory might help you stand out es well. but the site should contain of more than just the directory.

I wouldn't, no. Just because the domain itself is PR 3 or 4, it doesnt mean that that's the backlink the person buying a submission would get. The link would go in a sub-page and not be shown on the homepage, therefore its just a backlink, not a PR 3 / 4 backlink.

 

So if I was offering a link on the homepage would it be worth that?

 

Yes, but in this case you will not be able to sell too many links.

 

Yeah it would be better, but then you'd want to charge more than just $1 for that.

 

Directories website?

No ..Too many in market and I think is not good idea get in to this now..

I believe thousand bloggers and webmasters come to your site, paying you for your review and hope their get 5 star, points, good rank etc..from your awarding system.
