hi, I am new to Drupal.. can any one suggest me where to start I want to become expert of it in one week. Thanks in advance
It will take more than one week to become an expert. But as well as what aap mentioned, there are plenty of videos on Youtube. Also, common sense: Google's your friend. All answers can be found through search.
Excellent resource for Drupal 7: http://dev.nodeone.se/en/learn-drupal-7-with-nodeone For Drupal 6: http://codingpad.maryspad.com/beginner-tutorials/ - scroll down the page
I like VTC's video training courses - where you can learn really fast. Costs $30 for a month's access to all of their courses, but you can watch the first 13 Drupal 7 training videos for free. They also have a separate course, by a different tutor, for Drupal 6 which you might find helpful
The best practice is hands on. Set it up and start building something. Then go find out the popular modules and what do they do. I personally get bored really fast when I watch slow videos or read boring text.
I actually know a very good tutor he trained me in less than a week. Drupal is the most complex CMS system I have ever come across how ever now I have 4 sites under my belt and its getting easier. codezenith.co.uk/
http.://vimeo.com/search?q=drupal+tutorial Some excellent videos here. You will need to be patient enough to go through 45 minutes to 1 hour videos, but they're really good.
I got started with this tutorial: http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/drupal-tutorial/ You can check it out as well
You kidding right?. It would take litteraly years to master it. But for a start buy Drupal Pro development book. http://www.amazon.com/Pro-Drupal-Development-John-VanDyk/dp/1590597559 that should save you many hours of painstaking googling and searching for answer
Expert of drupal within a week is really not possible. As people can become an expert via doing practical stuff rather then reading and implementing. Of course ready can help you but can not make you expert untill you wont try form own.
