    Hey everyone,
I just purchased a PR5 domain, well a website with PR5 really. The owner said it was fluctuating between PR3 and PR5.
Now, I've done some research into the domain. On all tools, when I use the WWW.website.com - it has a PR5.

When I use website.com (no WWW) - it seems around half PR5, half PR3.

Now either - the website will be changing to PR3, or sticking to PR5 - I can't really be sure.

Does anyone have any advise? Is it risky buying that I have bought this fluctuating domain??

There is a valid PR6 link - and I will be getting more PR6 links. My question, is at the next update, will I go down to PR3?

EDIT: on top of that - I have just added it to google webmaster tools and it shows the pagerank distribution as all LOW - for WWW and non WWW, I added both seperately. When I check one of my other websites, PR4 - it shows a bit in MEDIUM, the rest in LOW, can I expect that domain to reach a PR5 or PR6 at the next update?

66.102.x seems to be the ONLY IP range where the PR is 3 at all.

    Regards.
    Sammy

To help solve your problem you should make all pages only accessible from one url. You should decide if you want www in all urls or no www in all urls. Then setup a redirect from the version you don't want via your .htaccess file. Since the www version has a higher PR, I would redirect all non-www urls to www urls. This will help ensure that all of the backlinks go towards one url.

Try http://digpagerank.com. It will show you the Page Ranks from Various Google servers. I think we can make a decision from that. If more Servers shows PR5, then your Website will have PR5, otherwise it will soon switchover to PR3. Try that website.. It was really good.

    I agree with vivekanantha7
http://digpagerank.com is an excellent tool for checking multiple datacenters to get an overall snapshot. The real question though is does it really matter? The bottom line is that whilst Page Rank clearly does have some beraing upon rankings the work that you put into boosting the SERPS listing is equally as important. Hope all goes well with your new purchase

You can do a WWW redirect i.e. all your urls must be taken through www.yourdomain.com and not as http as your www domain has good pagerank. some times it may be like the back links submitted with anchor link as http or www thats why the fluctuation is.
