    Hey all,

I have a bit of an issue with my current blog -> http://drift-underground.blogspot.com.

I love the topic but it is defintely not a niche (anymore). My main problem is competition and how to get traffic to my site. My second problem is that adsense does not show more than one relevant ad to my site  I don't think it is the keywords my site uses which cause it to find the most random ads ever.

Im new at this so I have no idea what steps to take to drive traffic to my blog and how to monetize my blog. I have signed up with CJ and have included a few affiliate links but I am not sure of which way to go.

Can anyone help me out a little? Any help will be deeply appreciated :)

First, beyond the usual of building backlinks and making sure you are targeting the right keywords, I would add a bunch of meta tags: keywords, title, description. You can do this in the edit HTML panel on the Dashboard -> Layout. Also, I would add an alt tag to your header image, as well as some keyword text.

Alright - how would I go about adding an alt tag to my header image and some keyword text? I'm a newb at HTML so if you could tell me what to write and where to place it that would be great :D

    Thanks for the advice flashgordonweb

***Update*** Meta tags were redone correctly and now adsense works a bit better - still a bit flimsy though.

In the page with your image find the <img src> code. inside the <> for the code add alt ="put your keyword image name here" before the closing >

Should take care of it for u
