Someone emailed me today expressing an interest in a domain i have, but i have zero idea what it is worth.
I tried all the "automated" appraisal sites without really getting any real clue.
    The domain is: hiddenheaven.com
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Who are they?
What do they want to use it for?
    How old is it?
Does it have any PR, Lnks, Traffic?
How long have you had it, and what have you paid for Reg, renewals, hosting?

I have no idea who they are are or what they are gonna use it for im afraid, they just asked for a price range to discuss a deal (i have never sold a domain name before).
The domain is about 7 years old.
It should have a moderate amount of traffic, but there is no longer an operating website attached.
I have had it for the total 7 years, costs for the domain alone would be a couple 100$ i think.

Not sure if this helps any:
    Backlinks 2,110
    Alexa Ranking 184,681

So, you can do this yourself. You know that the price will start at least with your cost. It's not a type in name, but it is very brandable for the right organization.
Age is definitely a factor, backlinks are a good start, and some people put a lot of value on Alexa rank.
These are all factors for determining the time that you have invested, and the strength of the domain itself.
It is 2 words, REAL words, that are correctly positioned to make a very usable phrase. That is also valuable.
In the future, you want to get as much about the buyer as you can, so that you can check out what their resources are, and what price they may be in position to pay, and what they want it for, but off the top of my head, I would take your actual expenditure, and add time to it.

I can't tell you what to ask for, because I don't want to steer you wrong, but if it were mine, I would probably ask for $1200-$2k, and see where it comes out. I wouldn't sell it for less than a grand, but that is my situation, not yours.
