Hi all, I have a new site, it is about 4 months old. My question is about how many links can you put to this new domain without a risk of it being penalized. Most of my experience has been with older domains so it is hard for me to measure this. Anyone have suggestions on how many per month? Thanks for any help!
Personally I would start with creating 3 accounts in dofollow forums, and an article directory such as ezinearticles, once approved put 3 links in your sig and post 10 posts on each blog every day until 10 posts are each forum/blog each giving 30 backlinks, then write 3 articles pointing to home page x 2 and 1 inner page, week 3 look for commentluv blogs and put your keyword with your name in name section and this creates anchor text back to home page. Rinse and repeat.
Obviously it's going to look a little fishy if your site has 5000 backlinks before your site is a month old. Be sensible, 100-150 per month is quite reasonable, don't get greedy, too many too soon will harm your rankings. Once your site is more developed and over say a year old, you can begin to build loads of backlinks without being penalized.
there's nothing fishy about it. if you launch a successful site, then it can be very much posible. lot of sites have that kind of backlinks a month, even more. however, whatever volume of backlinks you build in a month, it need to be sustainable in the long run. 5k links a month will not be fishy but if you build 5k links a month and don't do anything next month, then your link building campaign will not look natural and that when google will smell something fishy. it is only natural that a site grows in backlinks over time. so build a link building plan that is sustainable in the long run and keep working the plan
try to get quality links not quantity. Because if you collect 100 junk links and 4 good high quality links , i think that 5 good high quality links will work instead of 100 junk links.
Like the other guys have said 5000 backlinks to a new site might look a bit suspicious. But then again, think about how many backlinks Twitter probably already had when it was 4 mos old. I'm of the opinion that a lot of backlinks at once won't necessarily hurt you, but they might not help either.
Its about quality not quantity with links. Take a group of forums and make sure you go after DoFollow links. Be careful not to flood it with useless links as Google is cracking down on this!
What ever you do, just concentrate on two things: 1. Get relevant and quality backlinks 2. Keep everything natural By relevancy, I mean don't submit your site if the category is not matching to your website. I mean if your site is selling cars, than don't submit it to any site that sells dog food, NO RELEVANCY.... By keeping everything natural, you have to make a routine of what you do more often. If you get 100 links in a month, than try to continue this strategy the next month too. If you don't you are not making things natural for search engines. Hope this helps.
Dude, start small, and work from there. Your initial focus is on getting the site indexed, then target your long tail with some methods that provide a 50/50 balance of anchor text based links, and URL links. From there, go reasonably hard, but dont set out to earn thousands of backlinks in a short time frame. You can push a site pretty hard before you are removed from the Google index, just above all else, make it look natural. So in other words, dont just use one method, use an equal mix of all the good methods that you know of, but again, make it appear natural.
If you build backlinks from relevant niche than the save option is about 10/days or 300/month, but if you not than 100/days to 3000/month is well good enough but sure it must be look normal/natural, dont make google see you spamming the net.
