Need some help with my new phpLD directory (404 error on categories)

Hi,

I am creating a link directory and seem to be encountering an issue with my categories.

Every time that I click on one of the categories, I get a 404 error.

I did rebuild the category cache a few times and that doesn't seem to help. I do not have the directory files under a subdirectory on my server, so there was no need for me to change the .htaccess file. My links are showing properly in the browser so I just don't get what it wrong.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

The version I am running is 3.1.0 and my URL is www.mrlinkz.com (just so you can see what I am talking about).

I appreciate any help that anyone can give me. I have seen a couple examples of this same issue in the phpLD support forum, but no explanation for how to correct it.

Do you have rewrite enabled if so disable that and try again.

rewrite makes that error, that is because your hosting not accept mod_rewrite.

Thanks so much for the replies.

I knew it must have been an issue with the rewrite, but wasn't sure how to fix it since Apache doesn't show in my hosting panel.

Anyway... I dug around a little more and found the appropriate code to input in the .htaccess file to fix it.

Now off to finish my sub directories!
