I am ready to pull my hair out. I have been on the web longer than I care to tell you. When I first got on here it was basically Techs and Geeks and we shared everything. My first experience with a website was on Angelfire
    (remember?)
In the past 2 years I have been through the ringer with web hosts.
OMG this is so discouraging, all I want to do is have a humor site. Nothing illegal. I don't need to pay some $2.99 for a bunch of crappy space with horrible service that's overseas. I am looking for a host in the US or Canada preferably in the US. that does not require a 24 month commitment (I prefer to pay monthly though paypal) and I am addicted to Cpanel. LOL.
I did not think that was too much to ask but apparently it is. I am so sick and tired of paying and then getting this...
    Code:
    http://www.24x7depot.com
Here is what was in my messenger:

"I'm going to have to move you to another server (this is final) due to the current one having some serious issues and a bad network.
I'll pm you tomorrow with the account details etc and you wont loose anything so dont worry."

( the first I heard of it.. a day after I paid and the site was working
    perfect )
    THEN the next message
"Hello Star - the move is sooner then expected
I have full backups before the server went down so nothing lost!"

A user name and password was provided neither of which works...

I am sorry for the rant it is just that I do not know what to do. Last year I lost $69.00 after I paid someone and they took off. It's been down hill from there on.
    Can someone help me please!
    Thank you...

    Starnova,

I hear ya, been through similar situations and it always seems like "we" know more than the tech support at some hosting companies. Hope you find a permanent place for your site soon.
