Hello everyone, I'm trying to change some things on my WordPress blog. The theme I'm using is semicolon, it's a great theme but it does not support drop down menus. I also want to show short previews on my posts and have them look like this... I'm wondering whether someone could help with the simple code edits. Thanks. My site is justmybackpack [dot] com.
What in the WORLD does this have to do with PHP? The correct answer is: "nothing". What you need is someone who can alter the CSS for your theme (and, maybe, do some minor changes to the PHP running the site)
It has a lot to do with PHP actually. Since when does CSS add excerpts into post. This theme doesn't have drop down menus built in so the code needs changing to add this. Nasium was very helpful and has helped me with it anyway but thank you for your valuable input...
Uhm - as I said - the LOOK of the page (ie, how to show stuff, and dropdown menus) are controlled by CSS. Your question was that your theme doesn't support dropdown menus (but I'm assuming it HAS menus) - hence it's a CSS-tweak. That the theme doesn't support excerpts - how am I supposed to know that? You didn't mention it, what you said was "I wanna show stuff like this" - hence, again, CSS-modifications. As I also stated, you might need to alter some theme-files to add functionality if it's not already present. This is STILL not a PHP-question (strictly speaking - it's at best a Wordpress / CSS-question). And, lo and behold, this forum has its own subforum for "Content management" (surprisingly, not a separate Wordpress-forum, but hey...).
