Hello All, we launched our weight loss/health supplement website 4 months ago. I need some help getting real, good backlinks. My SEO team i got through elance did a lot of "checklist items" (directory submission, article subs etc) but told me that "it takes time" to get decent traffic. However, its been 4 months andI still have crappy 900k alexa rank and ~10-15 visitors/day (I tried adwords and got ~60). All the arrticles and press releases wind up on junk sites (if at all). SOmething tells me that these guys just arent that good. I mean 4 months is enough time to establish some sort of presence no? What suggestions on QUALITY outsourced link-building can you offer? Thanks in advance!
In order to help you, we must know more about your website. Can you tell us why people must visit your site?
Well, one way of getting good backlinks especially for a new website is to affiliate with sites of similar niche. You could however pay for a perma anchored backlink from a high PR site but those can be expensive especially if its a general website and not a site in your niche (less conversions) because the visitors won't have any interest. I'll go with my first choice and try and find affiliates (like add my link in your footer and ill add your link in my footer).
do blog commenting and submit your sites to high PR directory and do social bookmarking really helpful in getting traffic and backlinks..
Stop by and see what we have to offer in our A LA Cart link Building offering at http://www.omsolutions.net/cafeteria.html
do all white hat technique like links from blogs , and social bookmarking and directory submission and many other services so it will help to get fast results
as your website is still a new these tips will help you :- 1-Adsense 2-Links exchange 3-pay for back links with high page rank 4-rather than you have to choose the right keywords for your website and take a look to the revenue's 5-try to put sth free to download for your visitors that will make them come back again and again
Write articles, place your link on the bottom and submit them to social bookmarking sites like Squidoo and directories.
my website is liporidex we produced a weight loss/energy supplement that *actually works*!! we also have a healthblog at /healthblog. Ive started posting articles there and have 3 bloggers to respond to the posts. Should I also be submitting these articles directly? Which sites are the best ones ezinearticles? buzzle? I also have the articles, comments and some rss wt loss info tips feedburnered to a facebook fan site with 45 members and a twitter acct 600 followers. my seo guys did the submissions thing and I submitted articles to them, but again, the places the articles showed up were very poor. Thanks for all the help already - this forum is GREAT! ps if anybody has any health/medical questions - feel free to PM!
submitting your site to those free directories are useless, i guess you should be more concentrate on the website content instead, daily 10~15 visitors is really low as if a developed site, so you better target your work force back on producing more content instead of boring submission / useless commenting
I suggest you to install - google.com/webmaster - google.com/analytics on your website and blog. Monitor on which keyword and site that you get most referral. Track less competitive keywords (long tail keywords, low monthly average traffic, low search results in https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and concentrate to get more dofollow backlinks from related sites. Make sure you get the backlinks from sites that are - unique c class IP - unique domain - dofollow - anchored keyword - low total outbound links per page - related to your niche The more backlink you have from unique c class IP and unique domain the better it will help you in SERP ranking.
I will suggest for social media optimization. It will work very good on health sites for bringing traffic....
Atniz, that was nice advice. Most people here do not read they just blah blah blah. He clearly states that his SEO team already has done submissions to directories and here come the DP experts telling him to submit to directories lol.
Starting a website, keywork research is important steps to start, You may choose 100 to 150 keywords and filter it out, remember too high or too low competating also affect your site. Do you ever heard of Angela back link or Paul backlink. This 2 kind of back link consits of high PR website, you may try on it to push your site to the first page of SEO and to draw traffic. GOOD LUCK and all the best.
