Ok here is my scenario say i want to develop a site about about widgets and i can register widgets.ino and it has a high ovt but say there is other terms such as blue widgets red widgets pink widgets red widgets etc and they are are all avilable and the all .info with a hight ovt is it better to develop one site or would i be better to register all the (colour) widgets.info and link them all together? what are the advantages in doing this? i am only reffering to .info domains
I would think getting more traffic to your site basically by redirecting them to one main site. I'm not to sure about the .info domains though, but if you did own all those, you probably would better your chance of getting your site a lot more traffic than usual.
Like my idea was either redirecting them all to one site but i wasant shure because .info tends not to have alot of type in traffic but i was wondering if i made a main site like widgets.info with content and insted of using say blue_widgets.html to link to the blue widgets page on the site use bluewidgets.info but have all the sites linked together so in all reality i would have say 80 seperate sites with one site the would all get indexed as one site the main widget site but also the links would actully be there own seperate sites wich can be indexed seperatly and get there own page rank and alexa etc so if someone was searchin for blue widgets the could go to a site about blue widgets that looks the same as all the others just different information from say the red widgets.info site but as i said all links to those site would be on the main widgets.info site and all the sites can have an option to go to the home widget page. has anyone ever tried this idea out before?
If you are considering this please ensure to begin a link exchange program immediately. Incomming links to your site and their PR and content play a pretty big role in weighing your PR with Google. If all links have a PR of 0 then even though you have say 2 PR 2 sites linking to you, chances are your site will still rank PR 0. If you are going to use the additional domains ensure to set a 301 redirect for each domain. Search Google for a quick howto for this. It is not hard to do. Overall you want to ensure you have relevant sites linking to you to out-weigh the redirects in place for the additional .info domains you plan to use. My main focus would be with the main domain and building it out to include all wigets, using SEO friendly URLs and SEO methods to define each page to its content. This will result in much better PR for the site once indexed rather then linking a pile of domains, most likely on the same hosting ip address (affects PR as well), to the same site.
The first thing to ask yourself is "is it worth the money I'm going to spend registering all those domain names?" Not to mention paying for the hosting for each site... it can be murder on an individual's budget. A company on the other hand...
