So I recently acquired TheChive.us. For those of you who don't know, TheChive is a large funny picture and content sharing website and mobile application such as Vine, Ifunny, Etc. The google search volume for "TheChive" and similar keywords returns 1.8million + search volume per month.

Just some quick input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

"The" Kills domain value. It's worth reg fee. IMO.

It's trademarked with a .us extension. I don't think it could get any worse...

I hear ya...but I believe he's referring to this chive w/ this trademark . Disregarding some of the ambiguity, it was still purchased to squat on the existing site. Sorry OP, but anyone who knows anything, wouldn't buy this domain. Who would want to build a business/site around one that is already in existence. Sounds like a lot of legal issues to me...

wow, that linked article is ridiculous (well amazon). What a joke. I don't entirely understand how that could even be enforced if Amazon comes across some one else doing that, or even if it's worth the time to enforce...thanks for the read :)

I completely understand where you are coming from. My original intent was to offer a friendly proposition to "TheChive" , alerting them that this offer is available and they can have it within their possession. I am not using this domain name for my own content / brand.

I actually thought the same thing a lil while back, before I knew better. Best thing to do, hop on customer support at your registrar and get a refund. And if you cant, just delete it...or sell it on eBay lol. The marketplace where trademarked domains flourish hahaha
