I'm working on a site and this is my first time creating a site like this and I'm thinking of ways to improve the overall design... Right now it's not an actual site, just an HTML page with 1 big picture (mockup so to speak)... I was thinking about making the background some type of yellow gradient, and maybe instead of using a marquee code for the bottom payout, maybe creating a flash animation... any help appreciated, here's the link EDITED: http://www.theebookstop.com/lotto/design.html
I think the main links need a lot of work. I agree with you on using gradient instead of solid yellow (if you insist on using the yellow). I think you will have a better feel if you put the flash animation on the top where the bubbles are. I think the site is not wide enough 900 maybe?
thanks for the input! I put a flash animation on the top where the bubbles are... also, I should've made it 900px but I already put in this PHP coding I got from someone on this site so it would take quite a bit of work to change the width (each ball is clickable with rollovers and it saves the numbers to a members stats)... I'm having a really hard time deciding on a background though... I really can't decide what to do with it... I tried every gradient I could think of, a subtle white to gray, blue to dark blue, beige to white etc... I really can't decide what looks best! It's supposed to be a site where the colors get you excited here's 2 examples of the many i tried and i really can't decide lol http://www.theebookstop.com/lotto/indextest.php http://www.theebookstop.com/lotto/
Dark would go well. Change the main links then I can give you more input bc they are just frustrating me now lol
