Ive stared a new proxy webmasters forum here:
    http://talkproxy.net/

And im having trouble getting traffic. The site is a couple days old. Im trying to exchange links and ive been submiting to directroies recently. I dont have a lot to spend (maybe $20 at the most) on traffic, so can you advise me?

    Cheers:eek:

Be careful on Adwords, you get wiped out with the cost.
Have you tried writing an article and blogging it, maybe try submitting to Digg.com

But it can really get expensive. You must know what are your objectives and budget before getting involve in PPC

Forget it? Why are you trying to start one of the hardest things to do without good traffic (forum) in an already saturated market?

I don't mean to put you down or anything, just I don't see you making this kind of forum a success on $20. If you don't have the time and money to dedicate to it, then give up now before you waste any more resources on it.

Stop link exchanging and submitting to directories.

What you should be doing is finding and inviting those who already own proxy sites. You'll have to offer them something no other proxy forum has though. If you're starting a proxy forum, you should know a thing or two about making money with proxies, why not write a short ebook and give it out for free to registered members?

    Second that....

If you dont have the money to market, it is going to be hard to get off the ground.

    Also, xpsave has good thoughts!

Definitely go the social networking route. Come up with a good article and post it on Digg, Reddit, Propeller, Stumble and Indian Pad.

You will see a jump in traffic even if it does not become popular.
