www.Free-Calculations.com ok so ive been working on this site for about a month now in hopes of one day generating a profit from Google ads. My traffic is very slow so i was wondering if you guys think its even worth continuing or should i quit before i waste even more time on it.
I'm not trying to put you down or your site, but I say it's not pleasing to look at. Plus lose the frames, change text color, background. And you don't seem to have a lot of content going, just a few internal links to calculator-tools. You've been working on that site for a few months? I would've expected a clean and userfriendly interface, explanations. "Why is Ax²+bx+C=0 ?" You give them the tools so they can just fill in a, b and c. But you're not teaching them anything. again... content does wonders. Also welcome to the forums, there's a section devoted to new members, you can introduce yourself right there Hope you like it here greetz, jobic
I see you've worked especially on the content. Now you should work on the layout of the website. Good luck with your website!
Well, I think your aim at "selling google ads" is part of the problem. A site created solely for supporting advertising is sure to fail. If you think about creating some kind of community around your site instead, you are likely to draw traffic and actually make something off of your ads. Think about adding a forum or blog to your site. Add some useful content that people might actually be looking for. The tools you built are nice, but like jobic mentioned they could use some explanation - which will add more content, which will in turn draw more traffic to your site through search engines. A site that is aimed at trying to teach somebody something is more useful than a site that is aimed at selling advertising. Why not try adding articles from EzineArticles.com or another article site to make your site more interesting to a wider audience? And they are right - dark blue on black background is not very pleasing to look at. If you are new to HTML, think about taking a CSS class to help you create a good presentation. And lose the frames - I haven't seen very many GOOD sites with frames - not to mention the search engines don't index them well. But you don't necessarily have to give up - just change gears. If you are dedicated, this could be a useful and compelling site someday.
