Need some advice

It's been a few years old and lately we haven't done really that much about it. Seo wise or any way.

I need someone who knows his way around seo and who can give me some tips on how this make this forum work again.

Awww i love final fantasy too. You need to build some backlinks on it. But honestly final fantasy would be a hard key word to rank , there are many authority sites on first page and this niche is kinda low..

 

You need to add some spice to your site in technical ways and SEO as well.. Make sure to do off site SEO...

 

I think your site looks great, just do some seo and it will be fine.

 

I agree with you. The site is needed to be updated in daily basis. If SEO technique is used, then it will give better result.

You can use the different SEO Tools for the Forum or post some of your blogs from different Blog Sites for more backlinks.

 

Janneke what is your objective with this site? Get more traffic? Monetize? More users? Believe me that there is no way to rank even on first 2 pages for 'final fantasy' keyword, but if you aim to get more traffic or more users there are different way. SEO will not help you here

 

When you do your SEO works right you can get to the first page but the problem is that it will take months for sure

 

all I would like is to have more activity. More members. More traffic. Because eventually I would like to monetize the forum. but it's hardly getting any visitors (a few with google images tho)

 

If I was you I would make some super cool Fan Made videos, post on youtube backlinking to your forum. But first I would check what I could offer to those users that they already can't find in all those forums about FF

You should check out the first page for FF keyword. There are 20 or more authority websites with high PR and crazy domain age. Janneke you need to offer something in order to get more activity , fan apps, fan made videos , etc .Try to work with social networks.

 

I think you should first start ranking for longer tail related keywords instead.

Do some in-dept keyword research and see what other keywords get decent search volumes with lower competition and try getting ranked for those..

 

Well I am wondering tho HOW do I know what keywords work best for my site. Is there a special tool or somethibg?

 

Janneke, i think you need to do pure SEO work on that website for backlinks and generate traffic. And also promote that website in social networking sites for get more useful visitors.....
