Need some advice...

My sports forums, are virtually dead. The first couple weeks, we'd get over 1000 posts a day, and new members were coming in like crazy (we got around 400 the first few days). Since mid September though, it's really died down, and we only get a few posts a day, and virtually no new members.

It has come to mind to merge with a site that currently has 29 members active, and got almost a couple hundred posts today. They also have over 1000 members.

If we merged, I would be part owner along with their owner.

The thing is, I don't know if it'd be a good idea to give up 50% of my ownership. I tried getting up to what it was before, but it's been though. No one was willing to help out either.

    My site is www.sportsbreakout.com.

What do you guys think I should do?

P.S If you think you can help me bring my site back up, I'll give you part ownership. The % depends on how good you do.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forums btw.

    Thanks

since you have already 484 registered members, I think you should add some interesting topics/contest/ new features and send mail to all your registered members informing them about these new features, I hope they will start coming back.

I believe you should find some individuals who could help progress your site further. Possibly friends who know a lot about your given industry, and they could go out, attract their friends and family, maybe even go around and advertise your site everywhere. Maybe if you have a website, (not sure if you do), you may want to get a redesign, maybe something more modern or up to date. Just my suggestion.
