Okay so I've been having a crack at this making money online thing on and off for quite some time and it seems only now am I starting to see any kind of results. While not a lot I have proven to myself that I can successfully set up a site (based on a niche) and sell an item through affiliates. The site is www.makeabong.net and sells bongs, papers, smoking tools etc through an affiliate. So far I have only had 2 sales totally $20 and a withdrawal and the site sees around 300-400 uniques a day. The site targets the keyphrase "How to Make A Bong". It is only now that I realise that somewhere between 1,000 - 2,000 searches for this is not that great. So I'm wondering what I should do next? Should I a) Just keep solidly building content and pages based on the general area (420 Smoking). Maybe b) I could expand onto this with other marijuana related sites and interlink them? How about a forum and then advertising it on my other site? Or perhaps c) Target a new keyphrase - or even keyword. Though do I have a chance? Anyway just wondering if any pro's could give me any advice at all - it would be really appreciated.
i guess your uniques just arent targeted, try to market your site to ppl that you think will buy what your selling. it sounds like a good idea to link to related sites
try a + b together might works to get more traffic+revenue to your site. A will focus on ore sale B will bring your customer. your choice. ^^
