Need some advice on content

I've started a cooking site and want to put recipes on it from other sites ,is it okay just to cut-and-paste recipes from other sites. Or can I copy them into word change the font etc. and paste them into my site would that be ok do .

 

No, you can't do either without permission.

 

You should completely rewrite them.

Instead of:

1 C. Flour
1/2 tsp Salt

do

Half a Cup of salt
One cup of flour

etc..

 

Write with clarity and substance and you would be at top of the world

 

Lists of ingredients aren't protected by copyright. All of the other text / instructions / images are.
