need some advice on adwords

    hi guys,

I haven't been on this forum a long time and was just wanting to get some advice.

I have created a dating site and currently I'm having someone finish it up for me. I was going to hire someone to promote it for me and they just bring the traffic to my site by using organic traffic. I wanted to start off with 10 to 15,000 IMPRESSIONS a day, in my mind that would equal to around to $100 to $150 a day in ad clicking from adsense. "A nice living" If I did this by using organic traffic, then it would take me forever just to get started.

Please let me know if this is a good choice.....

    So then I thought.....

I could use Google Adwords to boost my traffic.....

    here is my question...

How much money is adwords going to cost me to start bringing that kind of traffic in?

I expect the money that I spend on adwords, I'll get it back using adsense and over a period of months, i'll stop using adwords and by that time. everyone will be familiar with my site and they'll keep coming back and the money that i generate from adsense will be "PURE PROFIT"

or at least possibly make a little something every day after I pay off adwords.

    does this make sense?

    please give opinions.

It's a really, really bad business model.
What you're talking about is arbitrage - buying cheap clicks from adwords to send them to a site to make a profit from adsense clicks. Google hates it - their usual response is to make sure that adwords is too expensive for you to make a profit. And frankly, even if they didn't deliberately weight it in this way, finding cheap relevant keywords to send sufficient number of people to click on your adsense, whilst also ensuring that your adsense is picking up keywords that are expensive enough to make a profit out of the 5 - 10% that will click - it's a task for an adwords and adsense master- not a beginner.

as long as i could break even in revenue the first month by using adwords and adsense, I'm cool with it. if i can get the traffic, then i'll go for it.

Did you read any of my post?
    You will not break even.
    You will lose money.
Dating is a competitive niche, keywords are expensive in search - "dating services" estimates $8.46 a click with 135,000 global search volume - to get 15000 visits a day from that will cost you $126,900. A day.
On a GOOD adsense site, 10% will click on ads - you will not get $8.46 for your clicks - let's be optimistic and say you'll get a dollar a click - you're losing $125,400. A day.

then, i guess it would be a just a lot cheaper to go ahead and do this by setting some time on the side and getting the traffic other ways, "organic traffic" in other words use different tactics like backlinking, submitting sites to submission directories, submitting your site to major search engines, which will probably be tough at the beginning the traffic will eventually come in time.

please reasure me that I'm on the right track and saying the right things.

any other advice that anyone has, it's very much appreciated.

I apologize that I was a little rattled in the previous post.

    Hi,
If you will put google ads on your web site you will loose money - and thats for sure.
However, your web site can be an affiliate. Put in your own ads, and try to promote other products. This is the ONLY way you will be able to promote on adwards and be profitable.

The main problem is the high CPC that dating sites got. You can try to be their affiliate - they are paying mostly nice money.

yes but what he is suggesting, is it against google policy to use another company such as bidvertiser to buy traffic to your website and try arbitrage that way?

You'll never make more money with adsense than what you spend with adwords.
You have to remember that the adsense revenue comes directly from Adwords. Adwords will NEVER pay out more for clicks than it costs in adwords.
