need some advice here

    hii guys, i need some advice from you.

    I want to transfer xxx amount of pounds via paypal to my uncle in uk. when i select personal payment the fee is enormous like 37 pounds, i cannot pay that much fee.

    any advise? its payment owed so i think i should select personal tab

    I dont want my uncle to incur fees.

    please advise

    Well, I think there is no or very less amount of fee in personal payments. Try selecting other tabs.

    Yes, just open your account > Send Money > personal payments > others(gifts)

    is this amount like high three digit number number ? u can do much about the fees are these funds from paypal or from some bank or cc

    Well if they are charging Pound 37 in personal tab then that's the last figure you have to pay to PayPal as a fee..if you will send payment in normal way they gonna charge you more then this.

    Yes, you may send this money via Other (gift) option without any fees but make sure paypal may ask you about this transaction.

    You may use, transfer as gift..or Mass pay option. where u need to pay 1$

    or, an old method... use a pigeon :p(kiddin..)

    are you using cc to send money ? some countries are not supported with gift option

    lets say if the amount is 500 pound then there is like 5 pound fee , but when that is increased to 900 pound the fee becomes 37 pound.

    i think it depends on the recepient, whether he/she has a personal or business/premier account

    Personal Payment as gift for xxx$ is a high risk. PP might limit ur a/c + ur uncles also.

    better bear those fees or use bank wire or other payment modes

    try using personal gift. every payment for transaction have transaction fee. once again never using payment for gift because payment for shopping and allways having fee for it.

    they can store that in separate currency too if they wish :)

    last time when i get some canadian $ paypal ask to convert or store separate currency ( ie canadin $ )
