About search engine optimization... I just wanted to ask a few question and would really appriciate if you guys can help me out with them... I have a guitar website.. guitarheat.com/ Lessons page guitarheat.com/lessons/ Forums page guitarheat.com/forum/ Its just 2 months old.. I have had approximately 30k visitors till now.. On what basis should i proceed , in order to get my site indexed.. and in what period will that happen.. I have started to get my site on the front page due to some keywords...(does that mean its already indexed??) Also getting backlinks from just anysite will do ?? or does it have to be guitar/music specific sites only?? I will really appriciate your help.. Thank you
your site is already index, to get rank for any keywords you should work as per competition and analysis. or hire some seo expert to work on those keyword.
It is nice to hear that your site, at its initial stage itself has 30K visitors. You can do the following for proper indexing in the search engines : -Make sure that your site is submitted in the different search engines properly. -Do XML sitemap generation and upload the same. Also, it is always better to get back links from the sites that are relevant to your site. Eg : Since your's is a guitar site you can go for back links with other guitar sites first and some music related sites also can be considered. But make sure you stick on to the relevancy of your site. After proper submission of your site in the search engines you can go with these Most Useful SEO Research Tools for further improvement. if your site appears on Search Engine Results page, then you are already indexed. I would advise you to play on your titles, though. I took a quick look. You should use keywords that you are targeting for your title. And yes, try to get as many relevant back links as possible. Non-relevant links won't hurt, they just won't carry as much weight. hope that helps. cheers.

I would totally go with ACT media as what he said in his post above , getting lots of back links from randomly chosen sites would not be a good idea, relevant sites always do Best for you , do social bookmarking for the particular keywords you wanted to get in rankings [ SERPS ] , Directory Submissions , link exchanges etc would be very helpful for you.
