Need some adivce hostgator and paypal issue!

    I never once signed anything with hostgator regarding a subscription and it's showing back in 2008 February I started an agreement with them in my paypal account. Like I mentioned I never once did this!

    I don't even have a username password with them. I called their rep once to ask about pricing and said I would get back to them if I decided to change from godaddy. This is when I was thinking about leaving godaddy.

    All of a sudden I have a subscription from last February and at that time a payment was taken out of my account for 59.88 USD and today another payment was taken out for $74.85 USD.

    So a total of 134.73 was paid to hostgator and again I don't even have an account with the company.

    When I called hostgator they said it sounds like fraud and suggested I e-mail

    In the e-mail I got confirming payment from paypal the contact number for hostgator doesn't even work it simply beeps! I called many times now and still no good!

    Go to the hostgator website and use the phone number they list on the front page or use their live chat. You should also report it to paypal - and I would change you password with paypal immediately.

    I went to the main Hostgator website and called the 800 number. At that time the company said I would need to e-mail and they would contact me when they can. I'm assuming that the live chat would be the same response!


    What's your thoughts on this contact us number that doesn't work?

    The question I have is how did this agreement between me and hostgator go unnoticed on my part. I swear it wasn't there before today's payment I know it wasn't 100%

    First of All cancel the subscription .. and then you should do email Sales@hostgator as well. and again Call the 800 Number again and tell the situation once again .. Ask them for their Paypal Email and if that is not one with which you subscribed or had subscription then Chargeback it..

    Try contact them from your paypal account in help center. And tell them if you want to refund your money.

    Guys I'm such NOOB. Photographico did some work for me back in February and for this work I paid his hosting!

    But I never canceled the subscription HAHA I'm a noob right? So the payment came out of my paypal because I paid three months of hostgator for him!

    So now I need to contact him to get my money!

    Will his hosting account be affected or closed from my actions? If so what are the steps I can take to ensure his reputation with hostgator isn't affected?

    oh do I ever feel like a noob!

    P.S. On another note I am very disgusted with paypals customer service they simply told me they can't do nothing and to contact the company!

    Contact Photografico for the issue . but cancel the subscription first of all and tell photographico to have his paypal listed on the file for next payments.. :)

    Man i was so afraid someone hacked my paypal account!

    I didn't remember doing that for fico and when I was driving home on my lunch I remembered and it was the biggest sigh of relief! seriously I'm not too sure if you ever felt anything like this but if you did then you know why I was so concerned!

    So what do you think is going to happen! think they will send me my money back and get Fico to pay or will they keep my money and send me after Fico?

    I know for sure they won't release the funds from the first payment in February but this new payment they might because I filed against it not even 15 minutes after I got the e-mail!

    I have e-mail fico using hotmail, namepros and yoursourceforinfo forums!

    Lets hope I get an e-mail back or I can start worrying again haha! I haven't spoken with him for months! well I guess three to be exact ... lol

    ok I can officially say hostgator has the worst support ever! I call godaddy and they talk to me where hostgator won't even pick up the phone! Sorry sir sales department doesn't take phone calls!

    This is the response I get and would never recommend this company.

    With godaddy it's simple and they refund payments ASAP

    paypal is saying please contact hostgator and hostgator is saying please contact paypal.

    can someone please tell me why they don't just call each other?

    I was refunded the money but again for some reason it's on hold again! this hold makes sense seeing they took money, and send it back to me but they must wait for the initial funds to come out of my bank account!

    Looks like I will get my money back! Thank god my friend is a good one!
