Is there really a market for old toothbrushes? Other then using them as to clean the toilet in bootcamp, what other uses are there?
I think your on to something there Snowbird. New slogan... "Teeth. Tiles. Toilets - The possibilities are endless" - Get your old toothbrush today!! The hits keep on coming ladies and gentlemen.
You know the whole earth friendly crowd could get into this..... "Old Toothbrushes - Sometimes its ok for your teeth to be green" "Old Toothbrushes - Your clean teeth just got greener" "Screw your teeth, save the planet" "Old Toothbrushes - Recommended by Al Gore and the 3 hippies that live down by the river" With this approach I see a major distributorship opportunity at Starbucks!
This is driving me nuts. I could not get it off my mind all weekend. You could parody the "Orbitz" commercial. "Dirty mouth? This won't help!" - oldtoothbrushes.com I apologize in advance if this does not make sense to our international friends.
You can maybe build a massive following by creating a myspace account with dirt nasty old tooth brushes and have an "GAG" following that creates a buzz to your marketing campain you actually got my creative juices flowing
I am dissapointed in no feedback from Sam on his thread. Maybe he did this as a big gag on us and he is actually being productive somewhere making money while the rest of us (or maybe it is just me) spend our time thinking of ridiculous ad campaigns for old toothbrushes. Oh well, it keeps me thinking and creative. It is almost like a crazy college case study where you have to come up with a way to market something totally off the wall. Maybe this should be sent to Wharton School of Business.
You can sell your old toothbrushes to people that have pets (why not ?). "Beautiful smile and white teeth for your pet, did you buy an old toothbrush for it yet ?" "It's easy to make your pet smile. Use an old toothbrush with style !" "Old style toothbrush for the modern pet." "Brush your pet's teeth with style and make it show you a smile."
Are your teeth perfect? Neither are our toothbrushes! oldtoothbrushes.com - Imperfect brushes for imperfect teeth I think the honest approach is best. Remember the old Listerene mouthwash commercials "The taste you'll love to hate". They just admitted right up front that it tastes nasty.
