Need Simple Email Subscribe Script

I am in need of an email subscribe script.

Just a small form where a user would submit thier email address then it will writen to a text file 1 per line

the user then would be directed to a thank you page or something similar.

If you're using PHP, have you looked at PHPlist - http://www.phplist.com

Might be overkill for what you need, but check it out.

 

Something a little bit more basic, which should help you is Simple Newsletter. It doesn't require a database, writes to a text file. It does send a confirmation though.
