Please can you give more information. What type of script are you using because if you r planning to use Mysql powered script for image hosting. It's not possible on shared hosting due to lot of resource usage. There are so many open source scripts available without Mysql, so you can use that on normal shared hosting.

I would highly suggest you to use VPS server instead as you wil be suspended on shared hosting enviroment within no time.

 

I had no problems hosting an image hosting script on DreamHost. Had some issues, but eventually got it to work on LunarPages as well.
