Hello experts, I need a serious recommendation on Dedicated hosting. Please feel free to chip in. 1. I need Hong Kong data center 2. not wrzhost and not hosthongkong (already tested them, not good enough) 3. must be less than 300ms latency. 4. must be less than $99 5. core 2 duo, 2000mhz, 1gb RAM specs minimum 6. proven 99.998% up time, (I use webmonitoring service and most of them failed) basically 4 minutes a month 7. rebootable 8. php5 required Thanks in advance..
thanks, will analyse it now.. anymore suggestion?? would love to take a look.. sorry, my request is a bit of criteria, but it's what I really need. thanks once again.
Does it needs to be on hong kong ? In case thats not mandatory, try out seedhost.eu, they are ovh reseller. Some specs are even higher than what you asked for, and seems to be on your budget Good luck
Yes. Hong Kong or Malaysia. It's actually very important because of the country IP routing. shinjiru actually fits the profile. but we need to test the latency and etc. Now, we are using one at the moment, but still slow to the country we want to serve. Sorry, I was on a trip for a week. Just got back.. thanks everyone for your input, very much appreciated.
That's a very low end Dedicated box. You may be able to spend the same amount on a high end VPS and get better performance.
300ms latency to where? Shenzhen? The moon? I really doubt you're going to get a dedicated box with 99.998% SLA for $100/month in HK. At least not from a company that's actually in a place to live up to their SLA.
haha, to my parallel universe in other room. from when we wan to connect and to the data center. of course. yes, I give out these criteria, so that we can narrow down unnecessary ads/affi links. Of course, once we get to the filtered services, we will have to make adjustments too.. we are currently pay $250 for 300ms latency. But when traceroute the backbones, it's not effective for us. that's why we are looking for another one. We need to have a company that can offer good SLA, at least, non-office hours.. because that's the requirements we need. we must have it 99.99% on HK/Malay non-office hours, office-hours, it's not that important. anyway, thanks all for ur suggestions. I will test shinjiru when current one expires.
