Your existing site will not work well with any SEO campaign. Anyone that tells you otherwise is misleading you.

Figure out who your customer is and how they look for your content. Then figure out what you can afford to spend for the ROI you want and buy your customers. It's an older concept called ADVERTISING, but it works.
