I recently wrote and e-book and I need a sales copy written for it. Do you think it is better I get this outsourced to maximize my conversions? I am not really confident in my ability to write one. If so, where do you recommend I look for writers or can anyone recommend one? Thanks.

Given that I'm a sales copywriter, I'm sure that you can guess what my response is.

Going beyond this however, you must be aware that in order to justify the cost of a professional copywriter, you must have several issues straightened out:

Will the traffic for the sales letter and the cost of the e-book justify the extra expense? It's all about basic math. A 100% increase in the conversion ratio won't mean much if you were selling 2 copies a month to begin with. Make an estimation and for the sake of your financial situation, imagine a worst case scenario. You'd be amazed of how many webmasters skip this basic and vital step.

Is the e-book related to a "hot" topic? If the answer is yes and you do not have yet a workable, ready to be deployed marketing plan, go with the DIY route. Why? Simply because "hot" topics tend to get cold fast.

And now for the shameless self plug, if you decide to hire a pro, drop me a note, I might be able to help you.

    Regards, George

Outsourcing is a great idea but it will cost. If you have no money then just write your own copy first and outsource later to increase your conversions.

It really is a good idea to learn some copywriting yourself. The basics are easy and it will really help you in future.

Not to toot my horn here, but I'm very good at this, but I would suggest that you write one out yourself, and then post it here for critique.

You may not even need one.
