need reviews of our webmaster forum

hi we have recently built our webmaster forums

the site is busy and we have a good member base

but

i would like some reviews on the design and functionabilty of the site, whether its user friendly or not etc,

as this will help me to change the site if needed

It loads ok for me. The one thing I noticed is the spelling error of "directories" - you have it spelled as "directorys". Otherwise it is ok.

it looks nice, I wish I could do it as well, I've installed a forum on a domain I had and I'm at loss to make the necessary changes on the layout.

 

what type of forum software are you using?

 

i think that large directory at the bottom of your page isn't a good idea..

 

Well i think i had seen it under ''Sponsored Links'' for the keyword webmaster forum on google, i belive that brings up most of the hits , well i would suggest you to upgrade to VB from phpbb.

Nice website. With regards to design/layout, I think it would be easier on the eyes if you darken the font color you used here:

Directorys - Free directorys - Paid directorys - High pagerank directorys -...

and at the bottom "Add your website to our directory" box:

arts
animation architecture art history chats and forums crafts design directorys drawing groups movies museums music organization other-websites painting photography radio services television...

Also, consider making your "Welcome to webmastersroom.com..." intro text and the text on the "Add your website to our directory" box more readable by somewhat increasing their font size.

 

I think that you could try another phpBB skin to match the colors of your logo. And don’t make the width 100%. Too much empty space in the center of the table.
