Hello friends, Before few months I had launched my MegaRapidshare forum I had many people (paid posters) for posting stuffs. Now my forum is going good ... many people from world are coming . My forum is my long term project, I need suggestions & reviews of my forum. also pls tell me how i can improve my site..?? Thank you
Good Project you have involved and Good Luck. To be honest the site looks as a Fat one. Clocks, 3 Login Boxes (I hope the sidebar login box you put for place holder. The navigation links on header (forum,reg,faq,blog(messed),calendar) can comfortably hold the Forum, UserCP,FAQ at the left sidebar links set minimize it. FIRST IMPRESSION of your site makes no attention to the hard work and money you invested, its simply because i can hardly see till the online users,first post title only and cant even saw a single content, and when i try to scroll down to see the content the flash clock really frustrates me, try to avoid it i dont think its a must for a forum since the line indication All times are bla bla is enough. search forum option is the most used feature and its placed lower, Twitter Follow us dont need to be that big, i didnt saw any twitter follow link this much big unless its a blog it dont need to be this big. Apart from it the contents are fresh and catchy my kind advice is to PLEASE roll over the entire design and have a good one it really ads value to your hard work and stuffs your site having. If a users got frustrated its so hard to get them back so work on it. Good Luck
The home page is using too many images. Design for dialup, not an OC3. Background images are nice, but they just do not work for all monitor sizes. Full page pop-ups, adbrite script errors, my CPU is spiked at 100% Do not use pop-ups, much less full page ones. It looks like your site was designed for someone with a super computer and a fiber optic internet connection. The whole thing is over developed and over built. I have to give your forum an F rating. Its not a page that I would ever want to visit gain.
Nice site. My major issue was the graphics intensive design, as already mentioned. It took an age for everything to load up and my computer froze for a few moments. Other than that, seems good. Which paid posting service did you use?
Almost 10,000 users and only 63,000 posts? The full page ad is also causing my computer to crash momentarily. You also really need to put more effort into other areas of your forum, not only the download zone. The download category is thriving whilst the rest of the board is pretty much bare. Plenty of new topics in the quiet sections should sort this problem out.
