    Hello friends,
Before few months I had launched my Computer technology forum

I had many people (paid posters) for posting stuffs. Now my forum is flourishing ... many people from world are coming and starting discussions.:)

My forum is my long term project, I have a $$$ million question.
How can I make my forum popular just like DP (digitalpoint)or WHT (webhostingtalk)?

I also need reviews of my forum.

    Thank you:)
Sorry if I have posted this thread in wrong category.

Well if you wanna be big like DP, you sure need lot of good content, good moderators, and good marketing. You got a nice design for your forum, thats a good start.

    Wish you success!

It's simple really. Just think of something that no other forum has and offer that.

Yup, as said.. something unique is what is required. You need your forum to stand out from the others.

You are already doing it; asking for reviews is sort of marketing. There are so many ways of doing marketing. The best approach is always trying to reach targeted audience.

    Hello,

To begin with 750 posts isn't 'flourishing', nowadays its harder than ever to start a forum and let it grow to be successful. The skin you're using is fairly nice and you've made a wise choice using paid posters to begin with - your forum "looks" active and that alone will entice guests. To help raise awareness of your forum, advertise your site on Promotion Forums and webmaster blogs. In addition to that continue what you're currently doing, posting around forums in the same niche with your link and a small description clearly visible in your signature.

To maximise the chance of registrations, check out the following article: Using psychology to increase registrations that a member of my forum wrote.

Best of luck with your site :)

    Thanks MhW,
Currently, adsense ads are appearing on my forum.
What if I will allow to put users to put their own ads like DP did. (50/50 sharing)
So by human psychology , those who want to earn money, they will sign up and will put their adsense code.

Well, that really depends on your audience. On one hand Ads can be off-putting to those considering joining your community - especially on smaller boards such as yours. On the other hand revenue sharing can entice members to join and earn a bit of pocket money.

Still, with your forum as small as it is it probably isn't worth adding revenue sharing just yet. Keep the ads though, there's nothing worse than a forum being ad-free for so long and then suddenly plastering it with ads. Once you're getting some serious traffic and your community is more established with an active member base, then you should consider revenue sharing. :)

Just out of curiosity, where did you hire the paid posters from?
