First the categories are a little off... looks like an ad. the visitor counter on the left site is little off i would but it in the footer.

 

I think you could do a lot worse than to put a 336x280 block with the same colours as your 300x250 actually in your posts - preferably at the start. You could also test a 468 at the end of the post.

It looks great, but you need to add more nice pictures of the dishes

 

I would probably use image ads seeing as how pictures of food have very strong emotional value for many people (especially aspiring chefs), other than that the site looks really good.

 

adding images and some colour effects may give a different look overall
