i personally do not like the site at all. it looks very generic. the color scheme looks strange, i.g. the red in the logo, the pea'ish green header, the strange light brown hover with the blue gradient in your menu. I don't like the blue font with the red text shadow. The gray side bar.... In summary, the colors do not add up for me. I clicked on the promotions tab and that text shadow is awful. I can barely read what it says. (look here iimmgg.com/image/550550e8b2aaf2f10f0419874a9b8496 ) sorry, but this is just my opinion.
The pictures seem sharp enough, but the logo text is a little less sharp. Also, the striped egg could be crisper.
Yes this was a template used from the 1 and 1 hosting, I am not a developer and seems a bit of a task, too much to handle. As to the colors, don't see that as a problem I was told a simple, easy to load site is a goos start. Your logo needs a little work, it looks really low res. I would brighten up the split pea green color in the banner and your text in the main section is little off putting as well, reminds me of a sales letter site. Keep at it and learn from the folks here on this forum.
