So I started a site dedicated to that untitled JJ Abrams movie and it got picked up by some pretty large sites (G4, best week ever, usatoday) and so I'm getting a huge amount of hits, but not as many clicks as I feel I should be getting. I just switched out a half banner at the top for a new square text/image ad to see if that would help, but any advice would be great. www.cloverfieldnews.com is the site.
According to my expereince Visitor's click trend is mostly on right side and top areas of page. You are using 250x250, thats nice but looks abit misplaced as there is empty space on both sides, left and right. Try to use two 250x250, I am damn sure yoru CTR will go up. Color combination seems good. Try to Reduce size of Top header "Cloverfield News" and Search Box. It is reducing your first screen and showing very less content. Thats my opinion, wait for others opinions
looks good to me, you should have already increased your CTR. What you can do, I know it sounds stupid but works for me, is to to have 3 adlink blocks one above another, where you have your one. It creates interest.
