Need PVA for EVERY Craigslist Category now?

I was posting some ads on Craigslist today and half way through the process I got prompted under the "General' category saying I needed a Craigslist Account.

Anyone else encounter this? This really sucks, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get around this.

I've seen PVA accounts for $3.75 but I believe you can only post 1 ad per day per account per 48 hour which is pointless unless I'm going to shell out $1,000 on PVA's.

Maybe I just screwed up and posted too many ads...

    Solutions?!

Sorry about your problems. CL has changed the security in past week. It is a mess and cost me 75 hours since to work around with endless PVA which about 20% are ghosted on the first use. GRRR.

The problem is that your IP address has been "soft-blocked" by CL.
This means that you, or others in your area, have posted too many ADs on CL from the same IP / IP Range.

PVAs will fix your problem and allow you to post; however, like OP mentioned... 1 post per PVA per IP per 24-48 hours is the acceptable posting schedule.

The problem is with your IP/IP range being soft blocked. I'd look at trying to get some IPs from a different range (wireless/dynamic DSL/dialup?) and seeing if that fixes the problem. Services is the only section that requires PVA, the others can if you get soft blocked.

Services is really the only section that requires PVA? I have concentrated so much in CE that I barely know what's going on with the rest of CL...
