A question for phpLD directory owners...

Do you have/know of a mod that will do a mass update on PR (see my specs below)?

I've used the Windows based PR Updater 1.91 in the past, and it worked fine. My host updated mysql and it no longer works. I tried contacting the developer of the software, but he has been mia in the phpld forum and his site returns a forbidden error.

I also tried the mod located at: http://www.jagoharry.co.uk/downloads/phpld-pr-update-tool, but that returns -1 for each listing.

    Here's my specs:

    phpLD 3.2
    PHP version 5.2.5
    MySQL version 5.0.45-community-log

Let me know if you can help a fellow directory owner out. :)

That "-1" could either be due to bug in the script, or the datacentre for PR update not found.

I tried a few different datacenters, and that did not solve the problem. I also was not encouraged by the disclaimer on the script site:

Just a note, new submission links have pr reported correctly. I just need to do a mass update for the existing listings.

If you are returning a -1 on everything, then It sounds like your IP has been blocked by good ol' G.

The -1 only occurs when I try to run the update script on exisiting links. If I go to an old listing, and manually delete the PR in admin it will display the correct PR. New submissions also show the correct PR. It's something in the mod because PR is fetched otherwise.

I'm wondering if you installed the MOD correctly. If you upgraded the MOD there were steps to take to delete the old files and upload the new. You certain everything has been done correctly?

I believe there were six steps to install the jagoharry mod. There is a "check installation" button which returns all ok. Two lines of code were added to init.php, which appear ok. I would assume if there was a problem there, that it would return an error and fail to check PR and report -1. One file was required to delete in the include directory - pagerankXor32, which I don't have. I have pagerank.php and deleting that made no difference so I restored it. The rest of the mod files were new, and no other code modifications were required anywhere else outside of init.php.
