[need]PHP programmer

i need to modify small piece of php code which is
$result = mysql_query('SELECT * FROM records');
i have lot of records in record table and this is getting overload or high load at mysql while ihave lots of records in that table

i want to fix this ,if somebody can creat a costum one ,showing the records with pages and with rows
example:

showing standart 1-20 if there is more result, going to page 1 ,2, 3 .. as much as records exist.

i have full code just need little optimization,

ill pay 5$ for this small job
