I would like to help Bluemouse but you have very strict rules on which sites you would take. I think you need to relax a bit on the stipulation that your site can't exist in any directory.

Just a bit of advice as I feel bad that no one has taken you up on your offer.

Yes, no help yet. I submit fresh websites only. (sites which weren't submitted before..I mean it's ok if you submitted to 5-10 directories before but not more than that). Waiting for a helping hand :)

I guess what I'm asking is whether the distribution of the directory IPs - how many unique /24's (C classes) do the directories cover?

And please don't ruin my thread with these questions. I'm desperate to find $25 :)

Brian raises a very valid point with the IP range question. No offense, but you should be charging less if I have to spend a half hour doing DNS lookups for your entire list of directories to make sure the effort is worthwhile. In general, I'm leary of folks that ask me to do their homework for them.

I'll find the IP range and I'll ask more. Is this ok? And this is not my "homework". My homework is to submit directories. I have a good list, I've posted it here before; many of you have seen it. I made submissions for many DP members and they were very satisfied with the results.

Now back to the business: help anyone??

Google has specifically said they won't use IP (they could easily do that), but they may look at whois data.

Really... where did you find that out (mainly the part about not using IP)? (link?)
