I ride a bike, I'm vegetarian, I grow (some of) my own food, blablabla.... mostly because I enjoy it, not because I actually believe it's going to make any difference. If we want to change the path we're all going down, we have to stop the industrial giants doing whatever they want. Earth Hour, domestic recycling, saving water, etc is useless - it makes us all feel like we're doing our part, so we can feel good while we're driving around in SUVs eating factory hamburgers. Go and have a look at where your electricity, beef, kitchen bench, etc.. comes from, and what the waste products/collateral damage of these industries are. These are the things that have to change.
I walk whever its possible an easier to walk. I know a lot of people who just drive even the tiniest of distances!
I recycle and segregate wastes. and I don't throw batteries just anywhere. Batteries are highly dangerous as it contains Led. This is just a little something to help prevent pollution.
I reuse plastic carrier bags, i only throw them away after one use if i placed them on the ground outside before i got home with shopping. Ive started dealing with more bills online, cutting down on paper, makes little difference alone but if 10 million other people do that too then it makes a difference. Turning out lights in rooms not being used, not wasting water, water is so expensive for us anyway.
I am happy that I am a 100% pure vegan and also do not use products made out of animals. Excellent thoughts...Kerosene. The world as a whole, needs to seriously assess and rectify the damage being done to the ecosystem due to our craze for rapid industrialization. Regards, RightMan
Hi, Indeed a very good post. I was unaware that meat could be such a big threat to the environment. Thanx for all the links and your opinion.
