Need of submission

    Is there any real need to submit to search engines...

    haven't seen the submissions really worth in past ... at least not for me.

    Submission to search engines is really not needed. It is always better to do directory submissions, article submission, rss feed submission etc.

    Not really, just get some decent links to your site and the bots will find it. Submittion is a waste of time for all the minor sites.

    You just need to attach your link to your sig or profile and the bots will crawl it.

    Submission of site to SEs isn't really needed. Let the search engines find your site. Just concentrate on getting backlinks to your site from sites which are indexed and regularly crawled by the SEs.

    I think submitting to Search Engines can be helpful. If you're serious about marketing your site, might as well do this also. I recently found that the sites I work on were not present in search engines like www.EntireWeb.com , www.WhatUSeek.com , www.InfoTiger.com and similar others. Who knows, submitting to these search engines can bring you a couple or more new users :)
