hello im new to this, and I was wondering if Google ADsense allows people to use long website URLs, this is because I will be hosting the website from my computer, and the URL will be long, ie. www.*name*.homeip.com, and if this is not allowed, could i use a free forwarding url, ie www.cjb.net thanks very much in advance.
homeip.com? Is this address or DNS dynamic? Is so, you cannot do it. Read their TOS. Using services such as DynDNS, No-IP, and whatnot had my friends account terminated since he too had long wildcard domain names (http://the.power.of.the.internet.at.homeip.net.)
Friend better not risk your precious account, try a free hosting service. And why do you want to open your home computer whole day long? You can also buy very cheap hostings.
I just read the suggestion of use a free service. My experience is your web may outgrow bandwidth allotment for such a site. Since you have to ultimately move it and do not have access to put in a 301 you have to sit and wait for it to be indexed again.
Just beware that your long URL is not keyword stuffed. Otherwise you should be fine. i.e. mortage-and-payday-loans-for-mesothelioma-victims-who-need-viagra.com
Strange to hear that despite cheap hosting fees there are people still wanted to host sites by themselves. I guess all those weird stories make the world interesting. Watch out for my Comical.ws - home of weird stuffs
