I work as an independent contractor, but it just isn't keeping me busy enough. (I work for a guy that hires me from time to time on relatively easy jobs) The jobs I do now generally consist of adding stuff to websites that look like they have been coded by a hundred different coders with their own coding styles, and it is hideous! I have to resist the urge to reprogram the entire page! Anyway. I want another project to do. I have a few ideas and I was wandering if anyone here had some ideas and also what you think of mine. New Forum Software I can create my own forum software. I am fairly sure I can do it. I have decent knowledge in PHP and a good ability to learn. But, there are already so many out there, it may not be worth it. Of course I have yet to find a forum software I liked totally! Video Tutorials I have a Blog that I work on from time to time, and maybe I could add some video tutorials on working with Ubuntu, coding languages etc. However, I don't know if they would be used all that much! That is about the extent of my ideas. Yeah, I thought I had more. Guess not. So what do you think about the above ideas? Think I should do either of them? Would you be interested in any of them? Do you have any ideas for some projects? Let me know. If you have a project, and need coders, let me know and maybe I will join.

Interesting ideas. I had my own idea for an online email marketing software and I managed to accomplish this in about 6 months (I'm not a full-time php coder...). It's working perfect but I have very limited knowledge and money to promote my service and bring more visitors/users to the service... Currently I'm working on a mix of community site/directory listing which (hopefully) will be able to serve some traffick to my responder software.
