I'm opening up a new site. It's all gonna be an online community for teens and preteens. I will be buying a .com and .org domain, .com for the main site, while .org for the online forum where members can interact with each other. I just need a name. If you can help, that would be great. Thanks!
That depends - do you want to use a keyword domain (teensforum.com), or a brandable word domain (something like Google or Yahoo)?
Thank you for replying ilikegrapes. I really appreaciate it. I haven't figured it out yet, although a brandable word domain sounds interesting. Our site will be like this: a teen will ask us advice and we will be able to answer his or her question. Something like myjellybean.com.
Sure - that sounds like a good idea. I think younger teens and preteens are still pretty straight-forward around that age, so maybe do something with the word 'advice' in it. For brandable domains, one of my favorite sites to get inspiration is wordoid: http://wordoid.com/ They mixup different prefixes and suffixes in a random way, but some of their ideas are actually pretty good - though the names often sound kind of 'techie'. Let us know if you end up finding a good name
