    Hi Guys

I am looking for someone with great PHP and Mysql knowledge to assist me with a project.

I have a website with about 96 databases. They are big, in total I would say around 20gb (I could be wrong, but it is just an estimation).

When someone conducts a search on my site, it takes around 20 minutes to display the results. My servers' cpu keeps running at 100%

    What I need

I need someone to redo my databases. The person getting this job must be able to download all my databases.

    1. I need all the databases to be merged into one. There are too many with the same tables and fields.

    2. I need my website to become faster.

    3. The person must upload the data again and get it to work.

    4. I need secure and effective search queries.

If you can do this, please PM me.

    Thanks

This is a pretty big job... What's your budget? Normalising databases that are already full could mean a lot of data entry.

    That's true.

I received some advise from two members on Sphinx.

So, if someone with Sphinx knowledge can assist, that will be fine as well

    Hello Rian,

Database optimisation is something that I have done before for large directory clients. Load times are also down to the scripting aswell as the size of the database, I presume that your application is programmed in PHP?

Please add me to one of the IM clients in my signature if you would like to have a chat about this.

    Kind regards,

    Glen
