I need someone to help me change my IP Address. My ISP is Virgin Media. I'm using a wireless internet connection via my D-Link router which is linked to the Virgin Media cable internet connection. Please PM me if you can do this. thanks
If you're using a static IP address that you got from your ISP then your best bet is to call your ISP. If you're not using a static IP then there are a few tricks, not saying any of them will work though. 1. Shut down your machine that needs a new IP for X amount of days. Depending on how many days your IP is allocated to you (usually 1-3 days) you should get a new one automatically when starting up your computer again from your DHCP service after that time has passed. Though you might not get a new IP, this depends on how the DHCP server is configured. 2. Search for CMD.exe on your computer (windows) and start it. Enter these 2 commands: 2.1) ipconfig /release 2.2) ipconfig /renew This will force a release and then request a new IP from your DHCP server. Though you might still get the same one. There are probably more ways, but forcing a change of IP is not reliable at all if you don't know your ISP's configurations. If you're simply trying to get past an IP block then you can either use a proxy or VPN (hidemyass.com got a cheap one). Using a proxy ot VPN will slow down your Internet speed a bit though. You should also note that you might be using NAT which means that your computer only has a private address that it routable within your small network, but once you try to access the Internet you go through a special public IP address. If that's the case I don't know if I can help you. Hope it helped!
They won't give me a new one. Thanks for your help! Did IPconfig release/renew but that didn't work. I'm on a dynamic ip address. Apparently but cloning my mac address in d-link admin panel will change my ip address? Thanks for your help buddy, im unsure, could you help me with what u said, don't know where to go. thanks
You PMed me, I answered, you were very happy, you even asked my paypal, and then...boom...vanished...hehe...oh well...
Use rotateIP proxies in your browser and try out the rotateip privacy software too it rotates your ip address on auto-pilot. I recommend don't use VPN, many of them bog down your PC and the vpn softwares make my laptop run hot.
