Need my first niche.

I need to come with an easy niche, becuase I will set up a site which main goal is making money. If I try to make a graphics forum or something similair, it will most likely fail. I am willing to put a lot of effort in it, but remember, this will be my first website !

    Thanks,

    Xabber.

Just do something you are interested in or something that is easy to obtain lots of information that you know other people find interesting.

Why not start a Jiu Jitsu site?

    Seems good enough to me..

I don't think people are interested in Jiu Jitsu, it's not really well-known.

It's always best to start off with something you have a fairly strong interest in. This makes it so much easier to write content and landing pages because your interest in the subject will shine through. In my experience, passion is contagious and that usually translates into more sales ,-)

Personally I wouldn't rule out the Jiu Jitsu site, as long as you're REALLY knowledgable about it and love the stuff. I think Xabber is right that it may be a tiny niche, but it's a big world out there, so even a tiny niche could do OK if you go into it with both guns blazing and really apply yourself.

Besides, on your first site you're really just learning the ropes anyway, so you might as well have fun while you're doing it.

I would watch videos on a site like that. my brother loves fighting i know he would watch it. You could make it big on the net. its best to get into something that you like then something you don't.

I had no plan, now I got 5 websites. still no plan, I got to get things together.

Jiu Jitsu must have many followers all over the world. Its good to make your first website about something you know very well. Then you will get experience, knowing what people like.

Er, unlike everyone else, I don't agree with your first site being a Jiu Jitsu site. Sure, I'm a strong promoter of the concept of "passionate topic = passionate content = much traffic".

Everyone seems to have missed one point though. How competitive is the term "Jiu Jitsu"? I noticed you've said that your goal at the moment is to start making money. If you create your first site, and it's not successful money-wise, it'll sour your experience, and probably turn you off of webmastering.

jiu jitsu is a Brazilian martial arts form although it is based upon Judo. It is hugely popular across the world especially in Brazil with the Gracie family. Anyone who watches UFC or Pride knows what jiu jitsu is. I would choose that as a starting niche although I'm sure there's a lot of competition

That's good. You don't want a lot of competition for your first niche. There's enough people searching the term and jiu jitsu will continue to grow

My MAIN goal is to make money. I don't think jiu jitsu can make me a lot of money. Should I start a website about ( Web ) Design instead ?

    I suggest Proxies.

It's saturated, but for the next 10 months, there'll be a demand. It might be a little hard to compete with the bigger proxies at first, but I'm doing well enough.

I fear that if you head into something you are not familiar with, or worse, don't even care about you are going to make the internet just that much more cluttered with shit pages put up to just make a quick dime.

There is money in every niche, you just have to be the best at it. Take that niche, broaded it to encompass more then just that, then focus on your given subject.

Stick to what you know and make it the best there is...take your desire to design and utilize that to make it the best looking site out there. Take your knowledge of the subject and utilize that to get unique content.

Just don't go with the MFA mindset, because that is just spam lying in wait.
